Academic Programme

The MBA course is divided in to four semesters. The first two semesters comprises foundation subjects in management which are common to all students. This is followed by a valuable association with the industry in the form of a summer internship programme. The third semester is made up of specialization and elective courses in Marketing, Finance, HRM, Systems and Operations. In the fourth semester, students work on faculty-supervised project in an area of mutual interest sponsored by a business or industrial organization. This helps in gaining in-depth knowledge in a specific business domain.

We adopt multi- pronged pedagogical approach in our academic instructions. Apart from regular class room teaching, we have session in group discussions, guest lectures, workshops and student seminar. These are supplemented by industrial visits, summer training and participation in industrial exhibitions, expositions and field visits to enhance the student’s practical experience.

The programme follows the semester pattern and the evaluation is continuous, which encompasses both internal and external assessments. Internal assessment marks of 20 comprising mid-semester tests, attendance and completion of records. External assessment marks of 100 comprising of terminal semester examination conducted by Anna University of Technology Chennai. Every student is required to score a minimum of 50% in both internal and external assessments for the successful completion of the MBA programme.

These subjects form the foundation of management education and play a crucial role in the decision making process of successful managers.
